Baked Salmon with Sherry

Also known as Salmone al forno con salsa di vino, this classic Italian dish is a dinner that will bring you the taste of Italy right in your own home. It is light and flavorful and a great healthy meal option.

Serves: 6

Preparation Time: 5 min

Cooking Time: 30 min

Ingredients
  • 2 pounds fresh salmon slices, 1/2 inch thick
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup sherry
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped (optional)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
Instructions
  1. Place salmon slices in baking dish, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
     
  2. Combine remaining ingredients, and pour over fish.
     
  3. Bake until tender in hot oven 400 degrees F about 1/2 hour. Do not over cook. Serve immediately.
