Easy Chocolate Chip Meringues

Meringues are always a safe, healthy bet for you to get your dessert craving without all that butter. These meringues even have chocolate chips! But don't be fooled, they are light, airy and made of egg whites.

Preparation Time: 10 min

Cooking Time: 25 min

Ingredients
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Instructions
  1. Beat eggs, cream of tartar and salt until very stiff.
     
  2. Add the sugar a little at a time and continue to beat it.
     
  3. Then add the vanilla and almond.
     
  4. Add the chocolate morsels and place by spoonfuls on a well greased cookie sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 300 degrees F.
